    I went through four years of college at Brest State University in Brest, Belarus. I was taught to be a teacher of English. There was one year left in college when I heard about the student program that helped students come to the United States for four months. I had a good feeling about this trip. In the middle of my stay I won a green card lottery. So, I decided to try. From the year 2000 I started building my life here. Tolerance and the skill of knowing how to compromise helped me a lot in the U.S. All of my family is back in Russia, and I miss them immensely. I miss my school friends too.
    By now I consider the United States my home.
